Women of Merit Awards, Stamford

The Girl Scouts of CT held their 23rd Annual Women of Merit event at Stamford's Italian Center. The event honors women role models and celebrates the role of Girl Scouts. This year the honorees were US Army Brigadier General Tammy Smith, a Commanding General of the 98th Training Division, and Mary Galligan, a 25 year veteran of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, who now works as a cyber security expert for Deloitte & Touche. Galligan says the Girl Scouts three C's, courage, confidence and character, led to her success within the F.B.I.
